Air Quality Dispersion Modeling

Air quality dispersion modeling is critically important for controlling the environmental impacts of facilities with the potential to generate significant gas and particulate emissions, particularly in industrial zones and manufacturing plants. These studies analyze the behavior of emissions in the atmosphere, enabling the prediction of potential impacts on the environment and human health.

Air quality dispersion modeling is also a key component of Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies conducted in line with the requirements of international financial institutions. It is widely applied in the assessment of emission sources from industrial facilities, mining projects, and power plants, as well as any operations that may contribute to air pollution.

AERMOD is one of the most widely used and internationally recognized air dispersion modeling tools, developed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency. AERMOD is used to simulate the transport of pollutants in the atmosphere and to calculate ground-level concentrations, enabling a detailed assessment of environmental impacts. The model integrates meteorological data, terrain characteristics, and emission source parameters to produce reliable and scientifically robust results.

Depending on project requirements, AERMOD can also be used for odor dispersion modeling, dust transport analysis, and deposition assessments. This allows for comprehensive evaluation of potential impacts under different scenarios, supporting decision-making processes.

At Reviver Consulting, we provide the following outputs within the scope of air quality dispersion modeling studies.

  • Generation of ground-level pollutant concentration maps,
  • Identification of maximum impact locations,
  • Scenario-based modeling (baseline conditions, capacity increase, etc.),
  • Comparison of modeling results with national and international limit values,
  • Preparation of technical reports in line with ESIA requirements.

At Reviver Consulting, we adopt a project-specific modeling approach by considering the unique characteristics of your facility. Our experienced team delivers air dispersion modeling studies in accordance with ESIA requirements, analyzing the environmental impacts of emissions using scientific, transparent, and internationally recognized methodologies; and reporting the results in a fast and reliable manner.
